When a hobby that you love turns into your career, as is the case for a lot of photographers and other creative professionals, inspiration is often at a low on days when work stress is at a high. Here are my techniques for reigniting your creativity and passion for photography.
Create a Pinterest board of photos that inspire you. Maybe it's the pose, maybe it's the editing style, just find photos that you love! If you like the old fashioned way better, flip through magazines and cut out and pin up the photos that you're drawn to. This is an easy and organized way to collect new ideas.
Put down your camera...and pick up your phone. Go out and explore a new place but only bring your camera phone. When you're free of heavy equipment and lots of settings taking photos is quick and easy. Often I start to experiment a lot more with what I photograph and how because taking an image is so quick. These little adventures really help me to get back to why I fell in love with photography in the first place.
