BEFORE A SESSION

How early should I book my photography session?
To better serve our clients, we book a limited number of sessions per month. A session fee is paid in advance to secure your chosen date. It is non-refundable should you cancel, but is transferable to another date in the event you wish to amend your booking with at least 48 hours notice.  Special consideration is made for maternity and newborn sessions or sick children.

What are session rates?
All of our rates are subject to change at any time.  Booking your session by submitting your session fee guarantees our current portrait rates. Rescheduled sessions are subject to the prices current at the time of rescheduling. For most shoots, we recommend calling the studio at least two months in advance of your desired session date, but we’re occasionally able to take last-minute sessions if our schedule allows it!

How long are shoots?
Shoots themselves vary in length, and can be anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours long. You'll be able to choose from a variety of packages when we send you along some quotes.

When is the best time to book maternity and newborn portraits?
We recommend that a maternity shoot be scheduled close to your 30-week mark. The absolute best time to capture sleepy, curly newborn portraits is from 1-14 days of life. Booking should be done no later then your second trimester.

Is there a limit to the number of images taken during a session?
During a session we typically will take many photos, sometimes more then you will even think of using. A good estimate is up to 100 images per hour, depending on the length of the session or event, number of guests, and number of photographers we use to capture your session. If you've hired a second shooter for your event. You just doubled your amount of images. Why we choose this method, is because more images means more choices of different angles, lighting, and overall aesthetics.
