Wedding & Portrait Pricing | Boston Photographer Costs
Photographers are often questioned about why they charge what they charge for their services. Aside from the obvious cost of paying for the photos, products, and the photographer's time at the shoot there are other factors in how photographers determine their pricing, including
- The time spent preparing for your shoot, emailing and having consultations often means hours of work before the shoot
- Anywhere from 5-30 minutes of editing per picture
- Any additional editing and production of prints or albums
- The money invested in equipment, software, props, and education that all lead to better photographs
Like any other professional who provides a service, when you hire a photographer you're paying for experience and quality. A higher cost should mean that you're paying for a photographer who has far more work under their belt than someone at a lower cost and therefore produces a superior product.
